Electrocardiography

Tele-electrocardiography  

An ECG can be taken anywhere and at any time of the year.

The “real time” electrocardiogram is taken with a device that records and sends via web wireless, or Bluetooth mode the electrocardiogram to the patients Personal Health Record.

 h24/7 the Health Professional can:

  • record the electrocardiogram
  • send the electrocardiogram wireless/phone (even mobile) to HTN’s ServiceCenter
  • request teleconsultation and telereporting to a Cardiologist on duty.
  • access the users Personal Health Record,  and print the report directly.

The service is useful:

• in primary prevention for patients at risk (diabetics, hypertension sufferers, dyslipidemics etc..) or for screening, healthy subjects for sport activities, driving license, gym etc.

 •  in secondary prevention after a cardiovascular event

•  for cardiovascular onset of signs and/or symptoms

•  for check-ups to define cardiovascular risk

•  to assess cardiovascular therapies. 

Telereporting and the relative teleconsultation on the part of HTN Cardiologists are given within 10 minutes and can be printed.

24h Holter monitoring for cardiac arrhythmias 

The continuous telemonitoring of cardiac arrhythmias for 24/48 hours.

Holter system HTN allows the Health Care Professional use a device that records and transmits via web, the entire sequence of ECG traces to the patient’s Personal Health Record.

It is possible to access the  Personal Health Record at any time, in HTN’s “SmartTelemedicine Platform”  for the followoing:

•        view the patient’s electrocardiograms sent to Personal Health Record

•        print the report directly

•        request a teleconsultation/telereporting in real time with the Cardiologist on duty.

 

The service is useful for:

• a diagnostic confirmation of the present state of arrhythmia

• a more accurate definition of the cardiovascular risk by assessing the presence of minor and/or major onset of arrhythmia

• an assessment of the affects of the anti-arrhythmia therapy.

Event Recorder (monitoring and diagnosis of sporadic and symptomatic cardiac arrhythmias)

The service provides monitoring of sporadic and symptomatic cardiac arrhythmias h24/7 by means of an Event Recorder. 

Palpitation (or awareness of skipped beats) is a common symptom of many patients and it may be difficult to be documented. Base electrocardiography and Holter monitor recording are the most common methods to find this symptom; often they don’t give encouraging results especially with  patient whose symptom is random. In these cases the use of Telecardiology can be a valid element for the diagnostic approach.

The event recorder is given to the user for a period of 7-15 days by the Health Professional.  When the user assesses the palpitation symptom, he/she applies the device on his/her chest, presses the button and records 30” of cardic thythm (memorized in the device) and then sends it automatically to the HTN’s operating system where a specialist Cardiologist provides a teleconsultation/telereport of the arrhythmic event.

The Health care professional can at any time access the Electronic Health Folder to:

•        view traces sent to the Personal Health Record by the user

•        print the report directly

•        request a teleconsultation/telereporting in real time with the Cardiologist on duty.

The service is useful for:

• a diagnostic confirmation of the present arrhythmic state

• a more accurate definition of the cardiovascular risk by an assessment of the presence of minor and/or major arrhythmias

• an assessment of effects of the anti-arrhythmic therapy.

Report and referalls of the telemonitoring period can be printed within 24 hours of the return of the Event Recorder while teleconsultation on the part of the HTN Cardiologist is immediate.

Tele-ultrasound

The following scenario is provided:

•  remote outpatient clinic equipped by ultrasound system

•  signal transmission encoding device 

•  media platform server for reception of encoded signal and streaming

•  central tele-monitoring service for imaging and filling into the Electronic Health Record in DICOM format

•  remote videoconferencing station at outpatient clinic with ultrasound system for e-learning by HTN specialist during exam implementation.
